Dryhootch, located on East Brady Street in Downtown Milwaukee, is a veteran-owned business whose mission is to support our veteran community with resources to make the transition from military to civilian life easier. Dryhootch also functions as a coffee shop with many types of hot and cold drinks and snacks to accompany them. Dryhootch wished to remodel its location on historic Brady Street. This project is the first phase of “Hootchlift”, a three-phase initiative in collaboration with the Dryhootch team to establish design ideas and implement strategy to achieve the most from this one-of-a-kind location on one of the most recognized streets in Milwaukee. Since its opening, Dryhootch has become an iconic space for the veteran community and the community as a whole.
