Ryan Bourland

Project Designer

At the core of Ryan's architectural values lies a commitment to eco-friendly designs while maximizing human comfort and wellbeing. He believes that buildings should not only be aesthetically pleasing but also function harmoniously with their surroundings. His position as a Project Designer at Nagel is multifaceted, encompassing learning and adapting to the software, as well as instructing others. This includes project management efforts on Construction Administration and lesser projects. Pursuing his passion, Ryan earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He was influenced by modern and pioneering sustainable architects, such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Bjarke Ingels, whose innovative approaches had an enduring impact. During his studies, he embraced principles of renewable energy, green materials, and sustainable urban planning. Outside of the field of architecture, Ryan enjoys exploring new restaurants, hiking trails, and watching movies.
