The envisioned transformation of wings 3A and 3B in Building 500 promises to create a state-of-the-art medical haven. This renovation will introduce 29 Med/Surg rooms and up to 10 ICU patient rooms, each thoughtfully designed with supporting spaces to enhance patient care. The ICU will be strategically positioned at the far end of the 3A wing, ensuring a serene and focused environment for critical care. Meanwhile, the Med/Surg rooms will span the 3B wing, with the flexibility to accommodate overflow as needed. Additionally, the project will feature two sleek new elevators, part of a separate initiative, conveniently located at the end of the 3B wing to improve accessibility and flow within the building.
