Greg Nagel

With experience encompassing a wide range of commercial, industrial, and governmental facilities, Greg is skilled in the coordination and management of clients, projects, teams, and consultants and accomplished in the entire design process. Bringing his broad depth of project management experience, technical knowledge, and design skills to each project, Greg’s passion is delivering architecture which is rational and functional as well as inspirational.

Ken Shane

Ken is an award-winning designer, project architect, and manager, with 25 years of experience including medical, religious, hospitality, educational, commercial, and municipal projects

Project Designer

Stephen Varela

Stephen has over 30 years of advanced CAD drafting and design experience. Projects include architectural elements, stadium signage, big-box retail, and restaurant design. Stephen is skilled in cad management, data management, and drawing standards. He also has strong leadership and communication abilities, with a drive for using creative, problem-solving methodologies.

Education:
B.A. Interior Design, San Diego State University

Interests:
My outside interests include spending time with family and friends, searching for great restaurants & micro breweries, camping, music, movies, and anything Mini Cooper.

Project Designer

Ryan Bourland

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, recently going back for his M.Arch at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. He is a hard worker with an adaptive attitude to learning and the willingness to try and understand opportunities in design.

Architect

Erv Schloemer

Ervin has over 30 years of experience as a Project Architect preparing and overseeing the preparation of Construction Documents and management of the Construction Administration Phase for a verity of Projects including full replacement hospitals and additions, corporate office buildings, parking structures and cultural projects. Ervin is viewed as a Sage in the role of Mentor to intern architectural and technical staff and is currently performing QAQC project reviews for VA projects across the country.

Rodrigo Fontán

Rodrigo (Roi) is a Project Architect at Nagel Architects + Engineers. His education in both engineering and architecture gives him valuable insights and abilities in facility design. He has an extensive experience in projects for both the private and public sectors, devoting the last years to improving the environmental sustainability of projects, trying to bring together architectural quality and cost efficiency with a sustainable management of the building process.

Director of Healthcare Design

Joe Heinowski, AIA, EDAC

Joe, a nationally renowned architect, brings more than 30 years of experience designing hospitals throughout the country to Nagel Architects. He has designed and supervised the construction of hundreds of buildings over the course of his career, with a heavy concentration on creating innovative healthcare spaces that provide world-class, patient-centered care. Joe has extensive experience in government and private hospitals, covering the full spectrum acute, ambulatory, and bedded care environments.

B.S. and Master of Architecture, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee

Interests:
