Nagel Architects + Engineers was chosen to design a high quality, state-of-the-art Cancer Treatment Center for the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The 14,000 sq. ft. new addition is located adjacent and connected to the existing main hospital. Details include the creation of two new Linear Accelerator Rooms, one CT Simulator Room, multiple infusion therapy rooms, patient exam rooms, support areas, training areas and more.
Historically, the Madison VA Hospital has referred its cancer patients to the Milwaukee VA or to a local private hospital due to limited cancer treatment services at the Madison VA. This expansion will allow the Madison VA to treat veterans in house with the latest cancer technology and service offerings.
The design team also includes Kahler Slater, Ring & DuChateau and GRAEF.
Construction is expected to begin in 2017.
